Senior Christmas Concert

The Christmas Concert – was a lovely way to finish a term of music and usher in the Christmas spirit! Introduced by IB music students Kalia Gkeorgieva and Nikos Chalkias, the orchestra opened the programme with Jingle Bells and continued with three other pieces including a powerful rendition of Hey Jude. A selection of instrumental solos on the violin and on the piano together with some wonderful singing showcased once again the musicianship at Campion. Tia Sidawi set the tone by singing Frank Sinatra’s L-O-V-E while Nadia Tueni took us back to the 1970s with Killing me Softly. Etta James also appeared on the playlist in the form of Sophia Rogkopoulou, with a very expressive interpretation of At Last. Zacharenia reinvented Silent Night, giving a beautiful classical guitar performance, while Avi Hochberg summed up the proceedings by singing It’s Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas.

Thank you to all the staff in the Music Department for their support and hard work.
