Dealing with the Psychological Effects of COVID

Dear Campion Parents and Staff,

Following the success of our first webinar ‘Grounding in Times of Crisis’ we are very happy to invite you to another webinar which will take place on Friday, 5th February at 5pm. 

The webinar is entitled “Dealing with the Psychological Effects of COVID: news, media, illness, and bereavement”.

It has been kindly offered by a Campion parent and teacher, Mr Serafim Zoukas. 

Mr. Serafim Zoukas is a psychologist. He has a BSc in Psychology and MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Surrey, UK. His experience ranges from clinical settings in Greece, such as Aigniteio hospital of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, alternative education centers in the UK and schools in Greece where he has supported young people and children emotionally as well as academically. He is currently employed at Campion School, in the Learning Support Department. Finally, he is a trainee Systemic Family Psychotherapist at the Laboratory for the Study for Human Relations. He has a background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

The webinar will focus on the psychological effects of COVID-19 on young people and adults. Our speaker will suggest ways that we can handle the media and news in regard to COVID-19 and how to communicate information to children. He will discuss strategies for coping, as well as bereavement within the family.

The duration of the workshop will be 60′ to cover theory and practice and 30’ for questions and answers, if any.
