Every year, the French Department puts on a fantastic spectacle to celebrate Francophonie (the French-speaking world). On Thursday 14th April, all students of French classes in years 7 to 9 presented various skits and songs. The students’ enthusiasm and hard work was apparent during their performances. The first skit was by the Year 7 students, who presented different interviews about sport. Year 8 class, after a fantastic video of the song Ma bohème by Charles Aznavour’s granddaughter, presented two aspects of the bohemian life in France at the beginning of the 1900s: the bohemian artists and French gastronomy. Finally, a typical online French lesson during the lockdown was presented by the Year 9s.

All classes sang different songs: Aux Champs-Elyséees, Je ne veux pas travailler by Pink Martini, Je veux by Zaz and songs from Stromae were in the programme. The show ended with a spectacular dance performance from Year 8 girls to the song Dernière danse choreographed by Maria Louisa Veremis.

A big thank you to our teachers Ms Christopoulou and Ms Angeli for their effort and dedication in produceingan amazing production. Many thanks to the students who worked so hard to present this unforgettable show.
