What academic programmes does the school offer?
Campion is an English language IB Diploma school which offers an adapted British curriculum to children between the ages of 3 and 18.
In the Junior School, English and Mathematics closely follow the new national curriculum, which has recently been updated, while other subjects are taught through the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). The IPC allows pupils and teachers to work on cross-curricular themes, building learning links between the different subject areas.
The Senior School is comprised of IGCSE for Years 10 and 11 and the IB Diploma programme for Years 12 and 13. Campion graduates are fully prepared for university studies both in the UK and the US.
How large are the classes at Campion School?
Each class is not larger than 20 pupils which allows for a high degree of personal attention and a strong sense of community.
Are the teachers supportive?
The teaching staff at Campion offers a great deal of support to the school’s pupils. Teachers are available at lunch times and free periods to answer additional questions or even work one‐on-one with a pupil in the library.
What are the facilities like?
Campion has wonderful premises. In addition to the brand new George David sports centre, the school offers modern science labs, SMART boards, wifi and air conditioning. Campion’s facilities are impressive; the physical plant is full of light and air.
Where is Campion School located?
The school is just off the Pallini exit of the Attiki Odos and only 25 minutes from either downtown Athens or Kifissia. Thanks to the Attiki Odos, traffic is rarely a problem when accessing the school.
What about extra‐curricular activities?
Campion has an outstanding art and drama programme. The musical theatre in particular is of a very high level and the school stages two productions per year. Private tutoring is offered on a wide range of musical instruments and Campion has a school orchestra. A wide range of sporting activities are offered after school including rugby, soccer, tennis, volleyball and basketball as well as track and field. Pupils may also participate in debate, forensics and the Model United Nations. Latin and Greek dancing are offered in the Junior School and Greek dancing is offered in the Senior School. The school also has a number of clubs.
Where are Campion graduates accepted for university studies?
University destinations for Campion graduates are primarily in the UK although the Netherlands is an increasingly popular choice for school leavers. Campion also caters to those interested in applying to the USA and the school offers an after-school SAT preparation course in Year 12.
