Informational Talk on Drugs
Dear Parents,
As part of our commitment to developing your child into a mature, responsible citizen, a guest speaker has been invited to speak to all students in years 8 to 12 about drugs. The sessions will take place throughout the day on Tuesday 28th March with students attending age-appropriate talks with their peers.
The talks will be delivered by Simon Leigh, a UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor specialising in the treatment of Addictive Disorders. He has previously visited Campion and other international schools in Athens and his talks have been well received. Simon qualified with a Master’s Degree in Addiction Counselling and is both accredited by, and an examiner for, the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals (FDAP). He also holds a CENAPS Certificate in Relapse Prevention Counselling. For more information you are welcome to follow this link to his website.
Campion has also collaborated with Byron and St Catherine’s and we are pleased to invite parents of all three schools to attend a special presentation for parents on Tuesday 28th March, from 19:00-21:00. Please note that this talk will be held in the main school hall of St Catherine’s. We are sure you will find his presentation extremely illuminating and of course there will be plenty of opportunity for you to ask questions after his presentation.
As Campion has been assigned a limited number of seats in the hall at St Catherine’s, we ask that if you would like to attend, you sign up using this Google Form by Monday 27th March.
Should you have any concerns or questions regarding the presentations then please contact me or your child’s Year Tutor.
Kind regards,
Emma Soos
