Campion School’s 6th annual session of the MUN was held on 6th-7th October and was, as ever year, an extremely successful event.

500 students from 22 schools, both local and from abroad, gathered together to engage in discussions of global significance. This year’s special conference was dedicated to the fight against sexual exploitation, a timely theme given Nadia Murad’s Nobel Peace Prize for her efforts to end the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war and armed conflict.

Guest speakers included Ms Aleksandra Stankovic, First Councillor, Political Affairs of the Embassy of Serbia, Major Ray Lamont, from the Salvation Army, who spoke on human trafficking, and Haris Kontonikas from the Special Schools of Nea Makri. Thank you to all of those who contributed to making the event such a great success.
