Provisional IB predictions for university

26 June 2020 Categories Senior

Dear Parent or Guardian,

Please find your child’s provisional predicted grade in each IB subject attached. There is no grade for Theory of Knowledge or the Extended Essay.

These are preliminary predictions and can change next term according to the student’s academic performance. These predictions should help your son or daughter select their choice of degree course and universities. For instance, if your child has a prediction of 35, he/she should choose universities that require between 32-36 points. When researching degree courses, remember to check the IGCSE grade requirements because a minimum grade in subjects, such as Mathematics and English, may be specified.

Certain degree courses require students to sit aptitude tests, such as Law (LNAT) and Medicine (BMAT, UCAT). Registration for some of these aptitude tests has already begun and details about registration deadlines can be found on the UCAS website. Any students who need to register for aptitude tests, this also includes applications to Oxford and Cambridge universities, should do so promptly. It is vital that pupils meet the registration deadlines or their ability to apply to some universities will be jeopardised.

All pupils have signed up to the UCAS 2021 Google classroom where there is additional information regarding the application process.

I wish you and your family a healthy and restful summer.

Yours sincerely,

Ms Misirli
