Year 8 pupil wins international poetry award!

Year 8 Campion pupil Demosthenis-Dimitrios Despotidis has won the 1st Poetry Prize at the World Poetry Competition of the London-based Never Such Innocence Foundation for the Bonus Strand ‘A Fight for Freedom’ category for 9-14 year olds!

Demosthenes won the first place among 4,000 participants from 44 countries around the world, with his poem entitled Inspirational Poem, impressing the jury with the high quality of his work!

The work of all the winners from all categories was included in a special Online Guide – Success Book, which was prefaced by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Mr Boris Johnson, which was sent out electronically. The results were also announced in a separate video on the Never Such Innocence Foundation’s website by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence KCVO CB AD C P and the Founder and Head of the Lady Lucy French OBE Foundation.
