As part of their topic, Explorers and Adventurers, the children became adventurers, using compasses and trundle wheels to map out areas. They worked in groups as cartographers, tracing over the outlines of the countries using tracing paper to create their map. The difficulties of this task soon became obvious – but that was the point of the exercise! The children collaborated and communicated very well, creating their maps!
