The Senior School curriculum in the Lower School (Years 7 to 9) is an adapted version of the English National Curriculum consisting of English, Mathematics, Science, Information Technology, History, Geography, Modern Languages (including Modern Greek), Art, Design, Drama, Music and Physical Education. Intensive English as a Second Language is available for pupils who need to be prepared for entry into the mainstream classes.

In the Middle School (Years 10 & 11) each child studies English, Mathematics, Physical Education and Science together with four other subjects chosen from a wide range of options. During these two years pupils are prepared for international GCSE examinations at the end of Year 11. In addition to providing a stimulus to hard work these examinations are increasingly crucial for entry into UK universities since they provide the only uncontestable evidence of students’ achievements at the time of their application for higher study.

In the Upper School (Years 12 & 13), the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme is offered. The IB requires students to follow a broad curriculum of six subjects (three at higher level and three at standard level) and to take a Theory of Knowledge course. They must also submit an extended essay of 4000 words on a topic of their own choice. Finally, students must take part in 150 documented hours of creative and sporting activities and community service.

In addition to the Year 12 and Year 13 tutors, our Universities Counsellor provides guidance to students and their parents during the university application process. Our graduates attend institutions throughout the EU, the UK, North America and elsewhere in the world. Preparation classes for Scholastic Aptitude Tests (SAT) in Maths and English are scheduled for students wishing to study in the USA. Preparation tuition for UK entrance exams for Law and Medicine is also available.

Greek students wishing to receive high school equivalency have the option to following the Greek language, literature and history courses to sit exams for the απολυτήριο.
