The PRC

Campion School has a very active parents’ support group, the Parents’ Recreation Committee, better known as the PRC. The PRC provides support in the organisation of school activities and events and does a stellar job in fundraising for the school.

In addition to the PRC, parents are also welcome to offer volunteer assistance in the school’s two libraries.

HELLO! WE ARE THE CAMPION PRC!

The Campion Parents Club would like to welcome all new families to Campion School! We hope that everyone had a fun and safe summer and is excited for the new school year lying ahead.

The PRC consists of a group of parents who strive to bring together students, families and friends in order to support and celebrate the best of school life, as well as to strengthen the
school community.

So what does the PRC do?

-Annually organizes its signature events: the Halloween event for the Junior School, the Christmas Fair and  International Day.

-Puts together seminars and talks and supports school sports events like the HARA sports games for children with special needs and other school happenings like the Science Fair.

– Gives back to the school community, through fundraising activities which financially support the purchase of school and sports equipment, the organization of educational school initiatives and much more.  In the 2019-2020 academic year, the PRC collected funds which will support the purchase of IT equipment for both Junior and Senior School as well as the construction of a gazebo for the Junior School.

-Donates, through its fundraising, to numerous charities and initiatives.  In 2019-2020, the PRC donated funds to “Mazi gia to Paidi”, “Amimoni”, “Pediatric Trauma Care” and the Desmos COVID 19 response. We are always interested in finding worthy causes to support on a national but also local, community level.

– Coordinates second-hand uniform sales, by collecting donations of second hand uniforms – in good condition – and selling them at a cost of 2 euros per item, thus further supporting our fundraising as well as sustainable practices. If you need any items of uniform, please send an email with your requirements (specific items and sizes) to prc@campion.edu.gr in order for us to check the inventory and let you know if we have what you need. Appointments to view the items will be made individually.

So, who can become a member of the PRC? How can you contribute?

Any parent of the school can become a member of the PRC. The PRC members may contribute in various ways. You can just share ideas or make suggestions that could enrich or improve our projects, you may volunteer your free time and take a more active role in our club or you
could occasionally take part in specific initiatives according to your availability.  There are no specific obligations or restrictions to the time you dedicate.

Under normal circumstances, members meet optionally once a month to discuss PRC matters and form committees that lead and coordinate the various events. However, this year we are not sure how often we will meet in person but we will try our best to keep communicating at
least through online meetings, in case getting together is not possible.

How do I become a member?

If you are inspired by the role of the PRC and would like to support us with your ideas and/or volunteer your time, we will be delighted to welcome you as a PRC Member! Just follow the link https://forms.gle/hshuVq3WaUu7Bitq5  and fill out the requested details. (In case the link doesn’t open pls send us an email with your name and we will contact you) You will be asked to submit a 5 euro annual subscription fee at our first in-person meeting.

The PRC Members receive communication via email and/or Whatsapp application in order to be informed of the timetable of PRC meetings, upcoming events, initiatives and requests for
specific support.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us with questions or suggestions at prc@campion.edu.gr .

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the PRC!
