Campion IB Results 2023

On 5th July our graduating class celebrated receiving their IB exam results. It is worth remembering that this is the first set of externally graded exams that the pupils have sat given the cancellation of their IGCSE exams two years ago due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Campion has a long track record of academic excellence and the results that we celebrate this year are a testament to the resilience and determination that the pupils have shown, not only in their IB diploma years, but also throughout their last four years of study.

Our staff have worked incredibly hard to ensure that pupils have been cared for and have continued to receive the best education possible in these turbulent times. We have strived to ensure that students have been given every chance to pursue their chosen next steps. While the majority of our pupils will be continuing their education in the UK at universities such as Imperial, UCL, University of Glasgow and Warwick, it is worth celebrating the 12 pupils who will be attending top colleges in North America including Columbia, Wharton School of Economics, McGill, Northeastern, Georgetown and the University of Michigan.

A number of our graduates will continue their education in universities across Europe. This year our EU acceptances include universities in Spain, The Netherlands and Italy, specifically: IE Spain, Groningen, Università Vita Salute San Raffaele-Italy and Bocconi. As a cohort, the average points score of 35 points is 5 points above this year’s world average. Four out of five students scored higher than the 2023 average of 30 points. Half of all grades awarded were 6s and 7s and one in five pupils scored 40 points or higher (out of 45).

As ever, there were some outstanding individual performances, with our highest performer Irakleitos Giotis scoring 42 points. We wish our graduates well and are confident that the education that they received at Campion has put them on track to succeed at degree level and beyond.
